Claims Reference Information

The following two links are provided solely as an informational reference regarding the proper handling, filing and processing of claims.  In all cases, TLM customers must file claims directly with the carrier handling their freight.  TLM in no way assumes or accepts liability for the processing, approval or payment of any freight claim for any reason what-so-ever. 

TLM Freight Claims Overview and Support Processes

This section provides you general information regarding the processing of claims and how TLM can assist you in the process.  While TLM is not responsibile for the processing, approval or payment of any freight claims, we will act as your advocate and will assist and direct you in to proper handling of claims.  TLM also actively works with the carriers involved to establish ongoing claims prevention programs on your behalf. 

The National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) rules regarding claims

This section is information taken directly from the current National Motor Freight Classification regarding the requirement for the processing and filing of claims.  This information is contained in Items 300100 through 300150 in the NMFC.  The NMFC provides the basic ground rules followed by all carriers in this regard.
